Do you want to help educate the next generation in forestry at Älvdalen's educational center?

The Forestry High School, Forestry Economics High School, and Hunting High School are offered within the Nature Management Program with a focus on forestry, where students gain knowledge in modern forestry and digital technology. Theoretical studies are combined with simulator exercises and driving real machines on the training ground and in the forest. Students in the hunting high school gain in-depth knowledge of various forms of hunting and game management. At the Forestry Economics High School, students deepen their knowledge in areas such as economics and forest management, while at the Forestry High School, more emphasis is placed on machine operation, and students also learn to operate harvesters. Our students gain the competence to work in forestry as machine operators, forest workers, entrepreneurs, or continue their studies towards forest masters, forest technicians, game managers, game handlers, or other higher education.

Your Responsibilities

The assignment involves theoretical and practical teaching in modern forestry. Teaching in forestry machine operation is a central part. It may also include teaching courses such as forest management and chainsaw operation.

In your role as a high school teacher, you will plan and conduct teaching both independently and together with colleagues. You will be part of an open and positive team with good cohesion.

In your role as an educator, you have an important mission to stimulate and motivate students to develop their abilities and create opportunities for learning. A central part of the work is to use digital systems and tools in teaching and for documentation. The responsibilities also include mentorship, including development talks and parent contacts. Together with students, colleagues, and management, and in collaboration with the forestry industry, you will drive the education forward. Älvdalen's Educational Center is part of several exciting development projects within forestry.
